Greenville Ballet Advantages

Convenient location
Located just off Woodruff Rd. close to both I-85 and I-385, we’re just minutes away from anywhere!
• Experience
We’ve been teaching in Greenville since 1980 and have been in business since 1984. Thousands of upstate children have benefited from our instruction.
• Greenville’s best and most recognized dance teachers
Merry and Andrew Kuharsky are former professional dancers with extensive teaching experience (see resumes under “Faculty”). The Governor’s School, Fine Arts Center, South Carolina Arts Commission, and many others have recognized their talents.
• Performing opportunities for every class PLUS The Nutcracker and Spring Performance
In addition to the year-end performance for every class, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of our outstanding production of The Nutcracker. Andrew Kuharsky’s production has been a Greenville staple since 1987. Our students get a sense of growth as they work their way up from Soldier to Snowflake. In the spring, new choreography will specially created just for the participating students to perform in May. These performing opportunities are for the students. Our goal is to include as many students as possible, not to give the better roles to professional or guest dancers.

• More than just ballet! G.b.2!
With our new G.b.2 competition division we now have classes and competition teams in Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Tap. Many students want the challenge of competing, and we believe they will have better success with the ballet backbone we provide.
• 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility
Our 3 studios are 60’ X 40’, 45’ X 30’, and 30’ X 20’ totaling 4,350 square feet of dancing space plus generous lobbies, and more.

• Safe, sprung, wooden floors (See photos in our Photo Gallery)
Dance floors are made of four layers of crisscrossing rubber and wood supports underneath plywood. Wherever you stand there is an inch of air between you and the concrete! This helps avoid injuries and stress.
• Small class sizes for individual attention
Average class size of 8-18 allows us to give individualized corrections and instruction and become real mentors and role models for the students.
• Classes in Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, and Pilates
In addition to ballet and pointe, we encourage our students to expand their dance vocabulary to include other dance forms like Modern. Our G.b.2 competition division offers classes and competition teams in Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Tap. Adults can join our Adult Ballet or Adult Stretch and Tone classes as well as Hip-Hop, Jazz, Tap, or Modern.
