Mission

GREENVILLE BALLET SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to provide the finest quality dance instruction in a fun and loving environment in order to promote lifelong learning, fitness, and enjoyment.

Class Placement
New students will be asked to take a placement class and then be placed in the proper level according to their ability. Students do not automatically advance to the next level each year. It is not unusual for a student to remain at a particular level for 2 to 3 years depending upon such factors as emotional maturity, physical growth, strength, comprehension, and competency. Returning students in 3rd grade are required to advance to Intermediate I taking 2 classes per week.

Classes for Adults
In addition to our Adult Ballet program, Adults with dance experience are also welcome to join our Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, or Modern classes. We also have a Ball Exercise Class and a free Pilates mat class (for current students and their families).

Teen Classes
Teenagers who have not had extensive ballet training are encouraged to try our Adult Ballet class. Beginning classes in Tap, Jazz, and Hip-Hop are also available.

Pointe
Pointe students must take two 1.5 hour classes for their technical base and a 1-hour Pointe class per week in order to be permitted to dance en pointe. Normally, students go en pointe only after they are 11 years old, and only after several years in our school.

School Uniforms
The School dress code includes a system of assigned colors and styles of a leotard (and skirt) as a uniform for each class level. Other leotards (but not skirts) will be permitted within dress code restrictions. Please consult The Sock Basket for the correct uniform for your class. The assigned uniform should be worn for Observation Weeks.

Pickup of Students After Classes
Please be on time picking up your child after class. Please do not leave students or other minors at our studios unattended. We cannot be responsible for the safety of unattended children in the lobby. The building closes immediately after the last class of the day. There will be a $20 per hour charge for sitting services after closing.

Tuition Refunds & Credits
Tuition paid is not refundable. Tuition credits will be considered only in cases of prolonged absence due to physical injury or serious illness substantiated by medical documentation.
